Abstract: Continuous biomanufacturing is a growing trend in the biopharmaceutical industry. Ideas from micro/nanofluidics can be employed in all aspects of continuous biomanufacturing to enhance the overall productivity as well as the quality and safety of the products. This talk introduces novel high-throughput microfluidic cell separation and nanofluidic protein quality monitoring technologies.

Bio: Taehong Kwon holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (EE) from MIT. In Prof. Jongyoon Han’s Micro/Nanofluidic BioMEMS group, his research focused on extremely high-throughput microfluidic bioprocessing technologies and novel nanofluidic biosensors.
