Yoshito Nejime received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Hokkaido University, Japan, in 1984 and 1986, respectively, and Ph.D. degree from The University of Tokyo in 2003. He joined Central Research Laboratory, Hitachi, Ltd., Japan, in 1986 and had been working on analog & digital semiconductor circuits and speech & image signal processing technology field. He moved to Hitachi High-Technologies in 2009. He had been leading design of DNA sequencing instruments and business strategy in Science & Medical Systems business field. Since 2016, he has been leading innovation activities for Hitachi High-technologies group. His interests are in new-business development utilizing high technologies and open innovation with other companies, including investment. He is a member of IEEE, ACM, and IEICE Japan.
