Professor Ahmad Bahai is a Principal Investigator in the Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is co director of “ Waves, Bits, & Molecules” and “ Health Science & Semiconductors” programs.
Professor Bahai’s current research focuses on BioMEMS, integrating advanced semiconductor technologies and machine learning for point-of-care monitoring of biomarkers used in diagnosis and treatment. His work includes biochemical sensing on a chip, ultrasonic embedded MEMS devices for cardiovascular and other diagnostic systems, ultra-sensitive magnetic sensors, Ultra low power RF sensors, optoacoustic systems, and MEMS devices for targeted drug delivery.
His research draws upon multiple disciplines, including electrical engineering, microfabrication, bioengineering, and machine learning for real-time medical monitoring.
